I will be enjoying some wonderful Mexican food
and a few of these babies tonight!
Little history tip for those who are interested. Cinco de Mayo is actually not the Mexican Independence Day like most people think and it is also not a Mexican Federal Holiday. Their Independence day is actually September 16th.
The reason Cinco de Mayo is celebrated is because on May 5, 1862 the Mexican battled the French at the Battle of Puebla and they won. The outnumbered, ill equipped Mexican army defeated the French army who was said to have not been defeated in a battle in 50 years.

You learn something new every day...don't you? How were the Coronas? Unfortunately, we didn't get home from soccer practice until 7pm and then I had to feed the kids and give them a bath since daddy was working late. I had to pass on the Cinco de Mayo celebration this year:(
Interesting historical tidbit. Whatever the origin, any reason to celebrate with a 'rita is fine by me :)
Can't wait to see in a few weeks!!!
